The short version
- We collect what an order needs: a name, an email, a phone number and a delivery address.
- We hold no information about any child. No name, no date of birth, no photograph, no growth record. There is no field anywhere on this site that could create one.
- The size finder runs in your browser. Nothing you type into it reaches us.
- We do not sell or share personal information, and we never have.
- You can ask us what we hold, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it.
Children and the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act
This is the most important section on this page, because we sell children’s clothing and the obvious assumption would be wrong.
This site is directed at adults who buy clothing for children. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
Concretely:
- No child accounts. There is no account registration on this site at all, for anyone.
- No features aimed at children. No games, quizzes, avatars, chat, comments, uploads, or social features of any kind.
- No child fields. Nothing on this site asks for a child’s name, date of birth, photograph, school or location. Our server-side validation rejects any such field rather than storing it.
- No name personalisation. We do not print or embroider children’s names on garments, which would mean collecting them.
- No growth tracking. We do not offer a subscription that ships the next size automatically, because that would mean holding a record of a child over time.
- No child reviews or endorsements. Reviews are from adult purchasers only.
A standing height measurement, typed by an adult, is the only child-related data point that exists anywhere in our systems, and only if an adult chooses to send us a sizing question. It is not attached to a name, a date of birth or any other identifier of a child, and on its own it identifies nobody.
If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email support@frankadamapparel.shop with the subject “COPPA deletion request”. We will delete it from our records within 30 days and confirm to you in writing when it is done. You do not need an account, a password or an order number to make that request.
What we collect
When you place an order
- Name, email address and phone number
- Delivery address, including state and ZIP code
- What you ordered, in what size and colour, and the amount
- Your acknowledgements at checkout, for example the sleepwear notice
We do not collect or store card details. Payment card information is entered into our payment provider’s own PCI DSS compliant form and never reaches our servers. We see only whether a payment succeeded and the last four digits, for reconciliation.
When you contact us
- Name, email address and, if you give it, a phone number
- The subject and content of your message
- For a sizing question: a standing height in centimetres, the size currently worn, and a build preference — all optional except the height
When you subscribe to safety notices
- An email address. Nothing else.
Automatically
- Standard server logs: IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps
- Held for 30 days for security and troubleshooting, then discarded
The size finder
Grow Fit deserves its own section because the natural assumption is that a form sends something somewhere. This one does not.
- The calculation runs in JavaScript, in your browser, on the page you are looking at.
- No network request is made when you use it. There is no endpoint behind it.
- The values are held in the page’s memory only. They are not written to local storage, session storage or a cookie, and they are gone when you close the tab.
- There is no history, no saved profile and no growth chart, because those would create a record of a child.
- It asks for a height and, optionally, a weight and current size. It asks for nothing else.
You can verify this. Open your browser’s network inspector, use the tool, and watch that nothing goes out.
Why we use it
- To fulfil your order — we cannot deliver a parcel without an address.
- To contact you about that order — dispatch, delays, returns, refunds.
- To answer your questions when you write to us.
- To reach you about a safety notice or recall affecting something you bought. We will do this whether or not you subscribed to anything, because it matters more than your marketing preferences.
- To meet our legal obligations — tax records, consumer protection, and product safety reporting.
- To send safety notices and new arrivals, if you asked us to. Never otherwise.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers we need to run the shop, and only with what they need to do their part:
- Payment processing — handles your card details directly; we never see them
- Shipping carriers — name, address and phone number, to deliver the parcel
- Email delivery — to send order confirmations and safety notices
- Hosting and database — to run this site and hold order records
Each is bound by contract to use the information only for the service they provide to us. We also disclose information where the law requires it, or to a product safety regulator in connection with a recall.
Selling and sharing
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We have not done so in the preceding 12 months. This holds for all customers, and it holds specifically and absolutely for anything relating to anyone under 16.
Because we do not sell or share, there is nothing for a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” request to switch off. You may still send one and we will confirm our position in writing. Use the contact details in making a request.
How long we keep it
- Order records: seven years, as tax and consumer protection law requires.
- Contact and sizing messages: 24 months, then deleted.
- Safety notice subscribers: until you unsubscribe, then removed within 30 days.
- Server logs: 30 days.
- Size finder inputs: never stored at all.
Your California rights
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, California residents have the right to:
- Know what categories of personal information we have collected, where it came from, why we collected it, and who we disclosed it to
- Access the specific pieces of personal information we hold about you
- Delete personal information we hold, subject to the records we are legally required to keep
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of sale or sharing — we do neither, as set out above
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information — we do not collect any
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. Our prices, delivery and service do not change because you made a request.
An authorised agent may make a request on your behalf with written permission, which we will verify with you directly.
Making a request
Email support@frankadamapparel.shop or call +1 818 170 3082. Say what you want us to do. There is no form to complete and no account to create.
- Verification: we will ask you to confirm details we already hold, such as the email address on an order. We will not ask for a document you have not already given us.
- Timing: we acknowledge within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 days. If we need longer we will tell you why, and take no more than 90 days in total.
- Cost: free, unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, in which case we will tell you before doing anything.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS with HSTS. Order records are held in an access-controlled database. Card details never touch our systems — they go directly to the payment provider on a PCI DSS compliant form. Access to customer records is limited to the people who need it to fulfil orders and answer messages.
No system is impregnable. If a breach affects your personal information we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires, and tell you what happened and what to do about it.
Cookies
We use the minimum. There is no advertising pixel, no cross-site tracker and no third-party analytics profiling on this site.
- Basket: your browser stores the contents of your basket locally, so it survives a reload. It holds product codes, sizes and colours only. It is not sent to us until you check out.
- Essential session: used to keep a checkout in progress working correctly.
You can clear both at any time through your browser settings.
Changes
If we change this notice we will update the date at the top of the page. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will email you before it takes effect.
